House of Delegates, District 88
Being on the frontlines of the juvenile justice system for the past ten years, Jessica has become passionate about investing in children so the commonwealth can keep them in the classrooms and out of the courtrooms. She wants to bring her advocacy skills to fully fund education, stand up for the rights of working families, protect access to healthcare and women’s reproductive rights, and fight for equality for marginalized communities. Jessica jumped into the race when she learned that her delegate was instrumental in killing the Equal Rights Amendment.
Not only does the commonwealth need to invest in education and reform the Criminal Justice system (beginning with juvenile justice), the citizens and electeds have to stand strong against voter suppression and gerrymandering so that marginalized communities have a voice. She is running against an anti-women, anti-choice, anti-democracy, pro-gerrymandering, pro-voter suppression incumbent. He stands against everything she believes in.
